We went to San Fransisco at the end of June, without the kids. It was such a nice trip (sorry kids-we had a blast--but we did miss you). We did not relax though. We decided to do every tourist thing we could think of. I believe we accomplished our goal. Thanks to Steve's parents for coming down from Michigan to watch the kids. Scott and Marianne, we owe you one! I have only put up some of our pictures from half of our trip. Next week I will put up some more from the other half of our trip.

To the right of my head you can see the Golden Gate Bridge--it is really far off in the distance.

We went to Twin Peaks. This is where you can drive up a really large hill and get a great view of the city. This picture really shows how packed together all the buildings are. There really is no grass in San Fransisco, it is all concrete. The only grass we found was at Golden Gate Park.

We had a great time of our vacation. Here is us trying to take a picture while Steve is holding the camera.

This was the view we had when we went to eat at the "Cliff House" resturant.

We went to Haight and Ashbury. This is where the Hippies were "born."

Here is Lumbard Street, on of the most crookedest roads in America. It is crazy how many curves there are. We drove down it, and I was really concerned that we were not going to be able to return the rental car in the same condition that it was rented to us in.

We went to pier 39 to watch the sea lions.

We went to Alcatraz. It was cool...literally. It was even colder than the city (that is what the locals call San Fransisco) and way more wind. But, we still enjoyed it. However, we do see why the island was used as a punishment. We would not want to live on that island.

It is amazing how much he looks like Evan whenever Evan is in time out.

This is a picture of me with the Ghirardelli Building (best chocolate ever) in the back ground. You have to look very hard to see the Ghirardelli sign.

Steve enjoyed the bums that put a little effort into their pan handling.

Steve was thrilled to pose in front of David Beckham's ad on Union Square.

San Fransisco is very "colorful." We saw lots of rainbow flags.

We got to hang out with our friends from A & M, Brian and Michelle. They moved to San Fransisco about a year ago. Here we are waiting to ride the street car.

We went to China Town
